Taking part in a scheme on EqasOnline
Your PT provider runs its scheme on EqasOnline. Here is how your laboratory registers, and what you do in each round.
Register your laboratory
There are two ways in, and both take the same four steps. If your provider sent you a link to its own registration page, use that: no code is needed. Otherwise, register with the 8-character provider code your provider gave you.
01
Lab details
Your laboratory's name, email and password, its address, at least one contact person, and the tests you take part in.
02
Test setup
For each test, the instrument, method, reagent or other details your provider asks for, so you are compared with the right peer group.
03
Verify your email
Enter the 6-digit code we email to the lab address. Your registration is sent only after this step.
04
Your provider reviews it
Your PT provider approves the registration and lets you know when your account is active. You then sign in to the lab portal.
Keep your details ready
In each round
01
Receive your samples
You get an email when your samples are on their way. When they arrive, confirm receipt in the portal and record the condition they arrived in.
02
Submit your results
Enter your results in the portal before the deadline; you can edit them until then. If you have not submitted, reminders arrive by email and in the portal three days and one day before.
03
See how you did
Once your provider releases the round, see your z-scores and peer comparison and download your reports. At the end of each cycle, print your Certificate of Achievement.
04
Follow up
Raise a complaint or an appeal against a round, or record a corrective action for an out-of-range result, from the portal.
If registration gets stuck
- The code is not accepted
- Check the code with your PT provider. It is 8 letters and numbers; case does not matter.
- No tests are listed
- Your provider has not published tests for this code yet. Ask your provider before continuing.
- The verification email does not arrive
- Check your spam folder, then use “Send a new code” in the verification window.
Questions? Contact your PT provider
Your provider runs your scheme and manages your laboratory's account, so questions about codes, tests, fees, rounds and results go to them.
