Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using EqasOnline, you accept and agree to be bound by these terms.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you ("User", "You") and EqasOnline ("Company", "We", "Us") regarding your use of our proficiency testing platform, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing our platform, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Service Description
EqasOnline provides software for running proficiency testing and external quality assessment schemes: a console for PT providers and a portal for the laboratories that take part in their schemes.
Note: We continuously improve our services. Features and capabilities may be updated, modified, or discontinued with appropriate notice to users.
User Responsibilities
Users must comply with these requirements when using our platform.
You Must:
- Provide accurate account information
- Maintain account security and confidentiality
- Use the service lawfully and ethically
- Respect intellectual property rights
- Report security vulnerabilities
You Must Not:
- Attempt to hack or compromise our systems
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use the service for illegal activities
- Reverse engineer our software
- Interfere with other users' access
Data Ownership & Processing

Your Data Rights
- • You retain ownership of all laboratory data you submit
- • We process your data solely to provide our services
- • You can export or delete your data at any time
- • We implement industry-standard security measures
Our Processing Rights
- • Process data to generate reports and analytics
- • Use aggregated, anonymised data to improve the service
- • Store data securely for service delivery
- • Share data only as specified in our Privacy Policy
Fees & Subscriptions
Who pays whom, and the terms of a provider subscription.
Participating laboratories
Laboratories do not pay EqasOnline. Any participation or enrolment fees are agreed between a laboratory and its PT provider; prices shown when a laboratory enrols are the provider's, for information, and EqasOnline does not take payments.
PT provider subscriptions
- • Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
- • Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance
- • Failed payments may result in service suspension
Cancellation
A provider may cancel its subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current subscription period, and the provider keeps access to the service until then.
Limitation of Liability
Important legal limitations regarding our liability and service warranties.
Service Availability: We aim to keep the service available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for service interruptions due to maintenance, technical issues, or force majeure events.
Data Accuracy: The statistical evaluation follows ISO 13528, but users remain responsible for verifying the accuracy of results and reports generated by our platform.
Liability Limitation: Our total liability for any claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
